Obituary for Natomah "Tome" Louise Nelson

Natomah Louise Nelson

June 11, 1917 – June 16, 2019 – Natomah Louise Nelson passed away peacefully at the Jubilee Home at age 102 the morning of June 16, 2019.

“Tome” was born in Lloydminster to Dr. Robert and Ethel Holt. Named after one of her father’s favourite race horses, Tome was often found in the saddle when she was a young girl. She married Clarence Nelson in 1939 after being swept off her feet at a dance. They had a daughter, Eleanor, in 1946. Tome loved her family, the land she and Clarence farmed, dancing, and travel.

She will be greatly missed by Eleanor (Phil), grandchildren Darren (Sorcha) and Lenora (Rick), great-granddaughters Niamh and Áine, brother Pat, and her many other family members and friends.

Tome was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Clarence, parents Bob and Ethel, sister Helen, and brothers Harold and Pete.

Donations can be made to the resident comfort fund at Jubilee Home (cheques can be sent c/o Prairie North Health Foundation, 3902-45 Ave, Lloydminster, SK, S9V 1Z2)
